A More Complete Approach to Metabolic Health
Care Built for Real Life
At Elless, care is built for women who are taking care of everyone else and trying to find time to take care of themselves, too.
As a full-time working mom with three young kids, I know how hard it can be to put your own health on the list. I also know what it feels like to struggle with weight, PCOS symptoms, fatigue, and hormone changes — and then be told to “just lose weight,” without anyone really looking at what is going on underneath.
That is a big part of why I created Elless.
I wanted care that felt more realistic. More personal. More convenient. A place where you could feel heard and supported without having to rearrange your entire life just to get help.
With virtual visits, lab-informed treatment plans, and ongoing support, Elless makes it easier to get care for weight, hormones, PCOS-related symptoms, and metabolic health in a way that actually works with your schedule.
Because taking care of yourself should not feel like one more impossible thing on your to-do list.
A Practice Created From Personal Experience
Meet Laurie Stumpf, FNP-C
Hi, I’m Laurie Stumpf, FNP-C.
I’m a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a mom of three, and the founder of Elless.
I started Elless because this has been personal for me too. I know what it feels like to struggle with your weight, PCOS symptoms, fatigue, and hormone changes and feel like you are not getting real answers. I also know what it feels like to finally ask for help and be told to “just lose weight.”
That can feel embarrassing. It can feel defeating. And honestly, it can make you not want to bring it up again.
For a long time, I felt like I was doing the things I was supposed to do, but my body was not responding the way I thought it should. With PCOS, hormones, stress, insulin resistance, and real life all mixed together, it is not always as simple as eating less and trying harder.
That experience changed the way I look at weight, hormones, and metabolic health.
My background is in family practice, and I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University. Over time, I became more interested in the way weight, hormones, energy, mood, sleep, and confidence all connect.
Elless came from wanting to build something that felt different than the rushed, generic appointments so many people are used to. I wanted it to feel more personal, more honest, and easier to fit into real life.
I am not here to judge you or make you feel bad about where you are starting. I want you to feel comfortable saying what is really going on, even the things that feel embarrassing or frustrating.
Because I know what it feels like to be told to “just lose weight” — and I know you deserve more than that.
Care That Fits Your Life
I know how hard it can be to make time for your own health when life is already full.
Between work, kids, appointments, school schedules, errands, and everything else that falls on your plate, it is easy to keep putting yourself last. Sometimes even making the appointment feels like one more thing you do not have time for.
That is one of the reasons I wanted Elless to be different.
I wanted care to feel easier to access, more personal, and less overwhelming. A place where you could talk about what is going on, review labs, ask questions, and make a plan without having to rearrange your entire life.
Visits are completed virtually, with follow-ups available by virtual visit or phone when appropriate. That way, care can fit into the small pockets of time you actually have — whether you are at home, at work, or sitting in your car between everything else.
Because getting help should not feel like one more impossible thing on your list.
My Promise to Patients
My promise is simple: I will listen, I will be honest with you, and I will treat you like a real person — not just a number on a scale or a set of lab results.
I know it is not always easy to talk about weight, hormones, fatigue, cravings, mood changes, or the things that make you feel uncomfortable in your own body. My goal is to make those conversations feel less embarrassing and more productive.
I may not always have an instant answer, but I will look at the bigger picture with you. I will explain things in a way that makes sense, talk through your options, and help you build a plan that feels realistic for your life.
You will not be shamed here. You will not be brushed off. And you will not be expected to figure everything out alone.
My goal is for you to leave each visit feeling heard, supported, and a little more hopeful than when you started.
